The Region 5 Leadership Team is pleased to announce that Ms. Linda Textoris has been named the new principal of Fairfax Villa Elementary School!

Ms. Textoris holds a Master of Education in Education Leadership from George Mason University, a Master of Science in Education from Marymount University, and a Bachelor of Science in the School of Business from State University of New York at Oneonta.  Ms. Textoris is in her 23rd year in education and her 12th year as a school administrator. She is currently in her sixth year serving as the principal of Lovettsville Elementary School in Loudoun County Public Schools and was previously the assistant principal at Sycolin Creek Elementary School (also in LCPS). Ms. Textoris began her educational career as a first and second-grade teacher in multiple LCPS elementary schools.

During her tenure at Lovettsville ES, Ms. Textoris has been a leader in School Improvement Plan efforts.  Ms. Textoris ensured her school leadership team analyzed data and then used that information to identify meaningful goals and strategies in the School Improvement Plan to address instructional and learning climate needs.  She launched Personalized Learning (PL) and continued to implement professional development to support teachers in their work toward sustaining each component of the Core Four Continuum.  She also guided her Collaborative Learning Teams to systematically collect, analyze, and use data to identify student needs and provide targeted interventions and focused support.  These efforts led to each grade level team at Lovettsville ES meeting or exceeding the division conditional growth percentile scores.  In addition, Ms. Textoris led her school to participate in a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Pilot to address the needs of students in Tier 2 and 3 and create a process for school teams to identify supports and systematically monitor progress.  She also ensured that her school was one of the first in LCPS to implement the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum across all grades to support families and address the needs of the whole child.

Ms. Textoris has demonstrated throughout her career that she is a highly skilled communicator who understands the importance of the home-school-community partnership.  As the principal of Lovettsville ES, she partnered with the Lovettsville Town Council to coordinate events with community stakeholders to support the success of all students, collaborated with the local chapters of the Lion’s Club and Ruritans to support the educational needs of students and families in the community, and worked hand in hand with the PTO to provide opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s educational experience before, during, and after school.

Ms. Textoris is an experienced, dedicated, and talented school leader.  In addition to serving as the principal of Lovettsville ES in Loudoun County Public Schools, Ms. Textoris is a valued leader among her peers, as evidenced by her being selected to serve on the LCPS Principal’s Advisory Committee for multiple years as a principal representative on the Safety and Security Task Force; and as a member of the Penn State recruiting team.  Ms. Textoris has both delivered and attended numerous professional development workshops/trainings over the years on topics such as Centering Equity in Instruction, PLC+ Better Decisions and Greater Impact by Design, Hiring with Equity, Personalized Learning, MTSS, and RTI.  Ms. Textoris is a leader who is reflective, collaborative, enthusiastic, and empathetic.  She has a strong belief in the power of relationships and the importance of ensuring that ALL students and families feel seen, heard, and connected to their school community.

Ms. Textoris is the proud mother of two daughters.  One is a physician assistant in neurology practice, and one just graduated with her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. In her spare time, Ms. Textoris enjoys biking, hiking, paddle boarding, and working on her yoga practice.  Her garden and family keep her busy on the weekends!  She enjoys books that guide her interest in growing her self-reflection practices (both personally and professionally), and she loves exploring new places, especially when food is involved!

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Textoris as the new principal of Fairfax Villa Elementary School.
